BUSES NOWHERE NEAR THE ARCH 

Back in July of 2020, after agonizing about hosting and holding the upcoming 37th "Buses Nowhere Near The Arch" camping weekend, and after careful consideration of 2020 pandemic conditions I decided to cancel the 2020 BNNTA event that year due to the Covid-19 situation.  But I started to plan to hold it again "conditions allowing" in Sept of 2021.   Back then I, like many had hoped that with the recent opening up of our economy that conditions were starting to return to something approaching normal, and that I in good conscience would be able to host the event safely for all of you.  But it soon became clear that this would probably not be the case. Covid-19 is a serious, even deadly disease, and cases appeared to be on the rise again as the 2020 BNNTA event date approached.

Proper hygiene, the wearing of protective masks and in particular safe and proper social distancing are the best defense against the spread of the Covid-19 virus.  I can't be everywhere during the event to try to enforce them.  And while we have toilet, shower and washing facilities at the BNNTA campsite, they are serviced by the park only once a day.  Even if we could invest in more frequent bathroom cleanings, I felt we simply could not meet the minimum safety requirements for keeping our VW friends and our families safe.  And if regional Covid-19 conditions were to get worse in those coming weeks I could not and can not rule out that the Park might suddenly make a facility closure mandatory, sealing the 2020 event's fate at even shorter notice.  So it was with a heavy heart and in the interest of everyone's continued safety I decided to cancel the 2020 BNNTA #37 event.  We hope that you all understand the conditions we are all faced with and hence my decision to cancel the 2020 BNNTA event.  

And now for some good news!  Conditions did improve and the Park officials allowed us to plan and host the 37th BNNTA weekend again in Sept 2023!  And we are planning the upcoming Labor Day weekend, Sept 1st-4th, 2023 event!  Please pass the word around to your VW friends who might not see this message about this year's upcoming event.  Check back here for updates!  Please take care of yourselves, as we want so much to see you all again at the BNNTA #37 event this upcoming Labor day weekend.
